Be Your Own Hero Series: Carter Bell
The newest edition of our Be Your Own Hero Series highlights Carter Bell. Considering Carter’s hard work ethic and continued consistency, both in and off-season, Carter has made tremendous strides in all his lifts. Carter continues to be a role model in our weight room and we are excited for our MASH Community to get to know him!
MP: Where are you from?
A: I am from Lakeville, Minnesota.
MP: Where is your birthplace?
A: Lakeville, Minnesota
MP: Any brother/sisters?
A: I have a sister named Elise who is 14 years old.
MP: What sports do you participate in?
A: I play golf and used to play soccer and basketball, but now focus solely on golf.
MP: What activities do you enjoy outside of your sport?
A: I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing sports, and just hanging out with friends and family.
MP: Favorite movie?
A: James Bond: GoldenEye
MP: Why do you train at MASH?
A: I train at MASH because a friend recommended it to me and also the community that surrounds MASH is one of the best I have ever seen. The people genuinely care about you and it creates a special place to be at.
MP: What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
A: I busted my chin open when I was in kindergarten while running up the playground stairs, and I had to get stitches in the hospital.
MP: Biggest Pet Peeve?
A: When people rapidly click their pens in and out.
MP: Favorite show on Netflix?
A: Breaking Bad.
MP: Favorite social media app and why?
A: Snapchat. You can draw over the pictures.
MP: Gameday Rituals/ Any Superstitions?
A: You can’t wear sunglasses during a tournament round and I clean all my clubs the night before a round.
MP: Least favorite Nate Stemper exercise?
A: Pull-ups where a person stands behind you and then pulls you down with a band (He is definitely going to put that in my next book now).
MP: Favorite memory of MASH Performance?
A: Improving my max deadlift weight during the max day and having everybody cheer me on.
MP: Years at MASH?
A: This upcoming June will mark my 3rd year at MASH.
MP: Who is your biggest role model?
A: My biggest role model is my Dad because he has a great work ethic and represents the person I want to be like when I am older. He always encourages me to do my best while helping me out along the way.
MP: What is one thing you never leave home without?
A: My phone.
MP: What is your favorite book?
A: The Wolf of Wall Street.
MP: What would you sing at Karaoke night?
A: Sweet Home Alabama- Lynyrd Skynyrd
MP: Favorite Baseball memory?
A: Playing little league when I was younger and throwing a kid out from 3rd.
MP: Anything else you would like to add/want people to know?
A: If you ever see me in the gym say hi, I would love to meet everybody. As I said earlier, MASH is one of the best communities I am apart of, and I would like to thank everyone at MASH for making the community the way it is.
